Service Description

The Youth/Young Adult Firearm Safety Class goes over basic handgun, rifle, and shotgun safety, marksmanship, loading and unloading, open sight target acquisition, range rules and instructions, proper firing techniques, and a live-fire qualification at the gun range. Registration is granted to: *Missouri residents aged 10-18 years. *Individuals free from felony and/or domestic violence misdemeanor convictions. *Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. Please note: Participants must wear a face mask, unless they can show proof of a COVID-19 FULL VACCINATION status. A COVID-19 Vaccination card or photo of your COVID-19 Vaccination card will be accepted. Social Distancing guidelines will be followed during the course of the class. $65 Registration Fee includes: *4-hour Youth/Young Adult Firearm Safety Class Range responsibilities and requirements: *Registration fee will cover the $15 gun range fee (one (1) B-27 full size silhouette or an equivalent target is included in the range fee). *Participants will fire 20 rounds of brass case (Full Metal Jacket) ammunition from a .22 caliber handgun at the gun range. *For safety reasons: Participants must provide their own eye and ear protection or purchase eye and ear protection at the range. *Participants must hit the silhouette portion of the target with at least 15 of the 20 rounds. Ages 10-13 will fire at a target at four (4) yards. Ages 14-18 will fire at a target at seven (7) yards from a standing position to receive a Passing grade. Dress Code should be comfortable: *Pants, jogging pants, sweat pants, leggings, etc. (No shorts) *Short or long sleeved crew neck shirt *Closed-toed tennis shoes (No open-toed or Croc style shoes) *Baseball style hat is preferred, not required CLASSES ARE LIMITED TO 15 PERSONS PER CLASS AND ARE RESERVED ON A "FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE" BASIS.
